Two Beautiful Sailing Charter 2-Day Trips

With our Lagoon 46 catamaran, we offer unique day trips, each with their own charm and possibilities. Find inspiration for possible routes.
All are tailored and carefully designed to give you the best experience during your 48-hour sailing charter.

Option 1: The “Rock & Wild Coast” Loop

Departure: Puerto Sotogrande
Route: Sotogrande → Gibraltar → Playa de la Alcaidesa → Sotogrande

This route offers a mix of iconic sightseeing and wide-open bays perfect for using the catamaran’s toys.

Day 1: The Gibraltar Landmark

  • Morning: Depart Sotogrande and sail West. This stretch is the best place to find Common Dolphins. Use the Flybridge as a spotting tower; the height gives you a 360-degree view of the Strait.

  • Lunch at Anchor: Drop anchor at Catalan Bay (Gibraltar). It’s a colorful, historic village tucked under the East side of the Rock.

    • Onboard Lunch: Use the well-equipped kitchen to prepare a fresh Mediterranean feast. The Lagoon 46’s layout allows the cook to remain part of the conversation while prepping.

  • Activities: Deploy the Paddle surfboards to explore the sea caves at the base of the Rock. For high energy, the Donut toy is perfect in the deep, blue waters outside the bay.

  • Dinner & Overnight: Head to Marina Alcaidesa (next to the Gibraltar border).

    • Dinner: Enjoy a sunset dinner on the aft deck. The kitchen’s large fridge is perfect for keeping local wines and fresh desserts at the ideal temperature while you watch the lights of the Rock turn on

Day 2: The Hidden Bay

  • Morning: Sail into the Bay of Algeciras to see the massive ships at a distance, then head to Playa de Getares. This beach is famous for its clear water and views of the African coastline across the water (without having to cross it).

  • Lunch: Use the Dinghy for a beach landing at one of the local seafood Chiringuitos, or enjoy a quiet BBQ on the boat’s integrated grill.

  • Afternoon: Spend the afternoon in the front lounging area. The trampoline and sunbeds are the ultimate spot for a siesta as you sail back toward the luxury canals of Sotogrande.

Day 2: The Scenic Coast

  • Morning: Sail to Bahía de Casares (Doña Julia). This area is dominated by an ancient watchtower and is much quieter than Banús.

  • Sightseeing: Take the Dinghy to the shore to see the Torre de la Sal.

  • Lunch: Enjoy a long, lazy lunch on the Flybridge dining table. Having lunch “upstairs” provides a private, elevated view of the Mediterranean.

  • Activities: One last session on the Paddle surfboards. The rocks near Casares are excellent for seeing octopus and colorful fish.

  • Return: A relaxing 2-hour sail back to Puerto Banús. The front sunbathing area is the prime spot for a final group photo with the Marbella mountains in the background.

Option 2: The “Marbella Glamour & Estepona Coves”

Departure: Puerto Banús
Route: Puerto Banús → Estepona → Bahía de Casares → Puerto Banús

This route is designed for those who want luxury dining, beach clubs, and the best “swimming pool” water the coast has to offer.

Day 1: The Beach Club Run

  • Morning: Sail West toward Estepona. Use the front cockpit for a morning coffee while cruising past the villas of the “New Golden Mile.”

  • Lunch: Anchor at Laguna Village.

    • Dining: Use the Dinghy for a shuttle to Sublim Beach Club for a high-end lunch with live music.

  • Activities: After lunch, move the boat to Playa del Cristo. Because the Lagoon 46 has a shallow draft for its size, you can get safely close to the shore. It’s the best spot for the Donut toy because the water is exceptionally flat.

  • Dinner & Overnight: Spend the night at anchor in the bay or dock at Puerto Estepona. Dinner Onboard: Use the oven and stove to cook a local “Arroz a banda” (seafood rice). The kitchen’s ample counter space makes it easy to serve 6–8 people comfortably.
