Three Beautiful Sailing Charter Day Trips

With our Lagoon 46 catamaran, we offer unique day trips, each with their own charm and possibilities. Find inspiration for possible routes.
All are tailored and carefully designed to give you the best experience during your 8-hour sailing charter.

1. The “Luxury Jet-Set” Route: Sotogrande to Puerto Banús

This route takes you East along the Costa del Sol, passing some of the most exclusive real estate in Europe.

  • The Journey: A steady sail toward Marbella. The Lagoon 46’s stability makes this a perfect time to use the well-equipped kitchen to prepare a Mediterranean appetizer or enjoy a drink in the front lounging area.

  • The Anchor Point: Drop anchor just outside Puerto Banús or near Laguna Village (Estepona).

  • Lunch: Use the Dinghy for a “dry-shuttle” service to the shore. Sublim Beach (at Laguna Village) is the premier choice for a high-end lunch with a pool-club atmosphere.

  • Activities: After lunch, head to the calmer waters of Playa de Nagüeles. Deploy the Paddle surfboards to explore the shoreline or hitch the Donut toy to the dinghy for some high-speed adrenaline before sailing back to Sotogrande as the sun starts to dip.

2. The “Dolphin & Rock” Route: The Strait of Gibraltar

A more adventurous route that takes you toward the meeting point of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.

  • The Journey: Head West toward the Bay of Gibraltar. This area is a world-renowned hotspot for

  • Common and Striped Dolphins. You can often spot them jumping right at the bow of the catamaran.

  • The Anchor Point: Anchor at Playa de la Alcaidesa or near the Rock of Gibraltar. The views of the “Pillars of Hercules” from the front sunbathing trampolines are unmatched.

  • Lunch: This is the perfect day to utilize the onboard kitchen. Since the Lagoon 46 has a spacious cockpit dining area, have your crew (or yourself) prepare a fresh seafood lunch on board while moored in the turquoise waters of the bay.

  • Activities: The water here is crystal clear. It is the best spot for snorkeling and using the Donut toy in the protected waters of the bay. Use the Paddle surf to get close to the rugged cliffs of the Rock.

    3. The “Hidden Coves” Route: Casares & Estepona

A relaxing, slow-paced day focused on water sports and beach bar (“Chiringuito”) culture.

    • The Journey: A short, leisurely sail to the Bahía de Casares. Because the distance is shorter, you spend less time traveling and more time anchored.

    • The Anchor Point: Anchor at Playa del Cristo (Estepona). This is a natural horseshoe-shaped bay that is protected from the winds, meaning the water is like a swimming pool—perfect for the Lagoon 46’s stability.

    • Lunch: Head to Tikitano Beach Restaurant or one of the traditional Chiringuitos along the Estepona “Golden Mile.” The Dinghy allows you to land right on the sand.

    • Activities: This route is all about the “toys.” Since the water at Playa del Cristo is so calm, it is the best place for beginners to use the Paddle surfboard. In the afternoon, the wide-open space of the bay is perfect for circling the boat on the Donut toy. Spend the final two hours lounging on the front sunbeds with music playing through the outdoor speakers.
